  • Yes! I am in network with Blue Cross Blue Shield and Blue Care Network. I can also provide a detailed recipt of therapy services (also called superbills) that you can provide to your insurance carrier to receive reimbursement if you have Out of Network (OON) benefits.

  • A superbill is a detailed document stating the services you receive. I am able to create superbills for my clients if you do not have the insurance plans that I am in-network with. You then send the superbill directly to the insurance, giving them all the information they need to reimburse you. I work with Mentaya, a platform that helps clients get money back on out-of-network therapy sessions.

  • No, I do not work with couples.

  • No, I do not with with adolescents or children.

  • There is no specific time frame when working on personal development and growth. Depending on the type of changes that you are looking forward to making and the issues that you would like to work on, therapy can last from a few months to much longer. Some find therapy to be extremely beneficial and choose to make it a long-term process. This gives them the deeper level of support they need. Then there are others who find themselves needing therapy for different reasons during different seasons of life and attend multiple times with breaks in between over years or even decades. Just as you go to the doctor for a checkup to ensure your physical body is healthy, the same holds true for your mental health. Ultimately, therapy ends when you feel ready.

  • Therapy is the most effective, enriching, and fulfilling when we have built a solid therapeutic relationship of safety and trust. Therapy is often most effective with weekly sessions, as this allows consistency and dedication to your investment in personal growth. Then as you begin feeling better and grow, sessions usually taper to every other week. This typically occurs 6 months to a year of working together.

  • Our sessions together will on average be between 45 minutes to an hour long.

  • I offer a limited number of reduced fee spots for those in need of financial assistance.

  • Life happens for all of us, myself included, and it is understandable the need to cancel an appointment may occur due to sickness and emergencies. As I hold a specific therapy session time for you, it makes it unavailable to someone else who may also need help. Thus, if the need arises and you must cancel an appointment, a minimum of 48 hours notice is required. If this minimum notice is not made, the client will be charged the full session fee determined either by your insurance rate or private pay rate for the missed appointment.

  • No, I am a Licensed Master of Social Work and am not able to prescribe medication or medical recommendations outside of my scope of practice. I am happy to provide referrals to psychiatric prescribers when working together as requested.

  • No, I do not provide testing or diagnosing for neurodevelopmental disorders. If I suspect you may benefit from an assesment for ADHD (or Autism), I will link you to the proper referrals.

An ADHD assessment is a very thorough evaluation process and time intensive designed to accurately diagnose Attention-Deficit/Hyperactivity Disorder (ADHD). The process includes a variety of techniques and methodologies, such as conducting clinical interviews, observing behavior, and running neurocognitive tests.
