Hey there,

Welcome to therapy! I know you’ve spent some time trying to find the right therapist for you. Maybe you’ve put this off for days, weeks, or even months because the task felt too daunting. It is daunting! But the hardest part is starting and making the call. You did it and you are here!

At the core to my approach is to honor and validate the whole of who you are, including all of your identities. I am committed to principles of anti-racism, inclusion, and social justice. My approach to mental health care means holding space for a client’s race, gender identity, sexuality, religion, relationship configuration, disability status, body size, socioeconomic status, and the daily compounding experience of living at the intersections of these identities. I am committed to respecting your needs, supporting your autonomy, and cultivating your growth. It is an honor to be a part of your journey and witness you harness your own inner wisdom and strength.

I graduated from the University of Michigan with a Master’s Degree in Clinical Social Work and a Bachelor’s Degree in Psychology. I have 9 years of clinical experience and have a clinical background in working with people of all ages impacted by childhood trauma, PTSD, relationship issues, ADHD, depression & anxiety. I use a humanistic, person-centered perspective, while utilizing an eclectic, trauma-informed approach from different therapy modalities, including attachment theory concepts, parts work informed (Internal Family Systems or IFS), psychodynamic approach with mindfulness techniques and acceptance and commitment therapy (ACT) techniques. I incorporate cognitive behavioral therapy (CBT) and dialectical behavioral therapy (DBT) as needed for coping skills building at the beginning stages of therapy treatment. Additionally I am trained in providing Somatic and Attachment Focused (S.A.F.E) EMDR (Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing) to support my clients with a history of attachment trauma and complex PTSD.

In my free time, I love to travel and have visited 19 countries with the same travel backpack. I enjoy reading fantasy books. I’m the most at peace when I’m by or in the water and love to swim, be on a boat, or be on the beach. I enjoy playing board games and watching reality tv (big fan of Survivor, Love Island, and Below Deck). I still unabashedly love the music I listened to as a teen (#elderemo) and love to dance and sing karaoke.
